The Gourmet Break consists of a two or three night break in York, staying at Holmwood House with breakfast and enjoying dinner at Melton's Restaurant each evening - you choose from the full menu and pay only for wine (of which Melton's has an excellent stock).

We were inspired to organise the Gourmet Break
with Meltons Restaurant by guests, who explained their regular
visits to York, thus:

excellent service through well trained staff. Chef proprietor Michael Hjort was a trainee under the Roux brothers and since opening in 1990 has achieved many accolades including the "Good Food Guide's" County Restaurant. Melton's is always praised for its insistence on putting the customer first. The restaurant continues to receive excellent reviews in the national press: |
